These Gluten free baked donuts are soft and delicious, with a generous sprinkling of powdered sugar on top that made them absolutely irresistible!
Soft, delicate and not too sweet: these gluten free baked donuts are an irresistible sweettreat ideal to start the day! They are so light and simple that even my mother, not a great lover of sweets and snacks, fell in love with them!
Prepare in the blink of an eye and with just a bowl and a couple of spoons!
You will need:
- 50g of soft butter
- 70g of sugar
- 1 egg
- 125g of full fat plain yogurt
- A tsp of vanilla extract
- 150g of gluten free all purpose flour
- 6g of baking powder
- The zest and juice of one lemon
Cream the butter and sugar. When all the lumps are gone, add the yogurt, the lemon zest, its juice and the egg and mix until the mixture is completly lump free. Also incorporate the well sifted flour, baking powder and vanilla.
Distribute the batter in a buttered and floured donuts baking pan (you will get seven or eight of them) and bake in preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes. Remember that the donuts should not be too golden on the visible side because they will be served “upside down” with a generous sprinkling of icing sugar.
